Outreach is Coming to Midtown Fort Collins
Starting September 6, 2022, Outreach Fort Collins is expanding! Based on data from our trusted partners at the Poudre Fire Authority, Fort Collins Police Services, Fort Collins Parks, and Transfort, OFC will be expanding its coverage area to include Midtown Fort Collins. This new territory includes the entire College Avenue business corridor from Laurel Street south to the Fossil Creek Parkway, as well as the Mason Street corridor and Foothills Mall.
Thanks to the generous support of the City of Fort Collins, Outreach Fort Collins has hired two additional outreach specialists. This additional staff capacity will ensure that our commitment to Downtown and North Fort Collins will not be compromised in any way when we expand our services.
In June, OFC and the Midtown Business Improvement District (BID) hosted a Q&A for service providers and local businesses to learn more about OFC and our work. This meeting served as an encouraging jump off point for further conversations about the issues merchants are facing in Midtown and how OFC can be a part of navigating solutions so that Fort Collins can be a safe and welcoming community for all people. We hope to have more opportunities in the coming months for more of these meetings so that we can have open and honest dialogue about how OFC can best be of service to our new friends in Midtown.
